Matthew Hutchison

Captain Matt Hutchison is a cyber officer and member of the Army’s Cyber Institute at West Point. He has served multiple deployments overseas in cyber-related positions supporting both conventional and special operations forces. Tools such as FireChat, though impressive in their own right, are representative of emerging disruptive technologies that can be used to either enable or inhibit military operations.

The Army must develop a holistic solution to Army-wide cyber resiliency and hardening of electronic systems to address our current cyber capability gap.

If the Army is to remain a dominant land power, the security and defense of Army and DoD networks must be viewed as a critical warfighting task.
