Knox Thames is the Director of Policy and Research at the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, a U.S. government entity created by Congress to monitor religious freedom worldwide and make policy recommendations to the President, the Secretary of State, and the Congress. Before joining the Commission, he worked with the Congress and at the State Department on religion and foreign policy issues.
