James Van de Velde, Ph.D., a Lecturer at the Center for Advanced Governmental Studies, Johns Hopkins University and at the Center for Security Studies & Security Studies Program, Georgetown University, is a former State Department Foreign Service Officer, a US Naval intelligence analyst, and White House Appointee for nuclear weapons arms control under President George H. W. Bush.
