J. Edward Conway is a doctoral candidate and postgraduate researcher at the Institute for Middle East, Central Asia and Caucasus Studies at the University of St Andrews in Scotland and a former analyst for the U.S. Department of Defense. He deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in 2007 to support the Iraq Threat Finance Cell and to Balad, Iraq in 2009 to support a joint task force as the resident threat finance analyst.
