Chad M. Pillai

Major Chad M. Pillai is an Army Strategist, currently assigned as a strategic planner at MacDill Air Force Base, and who recently served as a Special Assistant to the Commander, International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and the 38th Army Chief of Staff.  He has published articles in Infinity Journal, War on the Rocks, Small Wars Journal, and Military Review. Major Chad Pillai received his Masters in International Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins University School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in 2009.

To successfully combat 21st Century problems, in an era of resource and geo-political power constraints, the U.S. and its Allies need to develop a JIIM approach to Irregular Warfare.
